The CVIBGS Board members meet on the third Thursday of each month at the G.R. Paine Centre on East Wellington Road.
The board members are from the local community, business owners, Horticulturists, Arborists, Master Gardeners, and garden enthusiasts. In a friendly, team atmosphere, they work towards the goal of a Botanical Garden in the Central Vancouver Island Area. Comprised of a variety of people, one thing they all have in common is a love of plants, gardening, and community.
The Board is made up of individuals who, collectively, bring diverse skills and perspectives relevant to the Society’s needs and have a strong governance focus and a personal style to work constructively in a team environment.
The Annual General Meeting is held each year after the Spring Garden Festival in April. New and existing members are encouraged to come out and join in the friendly meeting, have coffee, conversation, and input with garden enthusiasts from the community.

CVIBGS Board Meeting - 3rd Thursday of the month, 5:00 PM at GR Paine Centre Garden Show Committee Meeting - 3rd Thursday of the month, 6:00 PM at GR Paine Centre The Committee meeting will start after the Board business concludes.
GR Paine Centre is located at 2324 East Wellington Road in Nanaimo.
We are still looking to fill more positions on our Board and committees. If you have an interest in gardens large and small and can contribute, please join us at the meeting!
